Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Qatar Mobile Market collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit our website, place an order, or contact us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email. We handle personal data in line with Qatar's Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection (the "PDPPL").

1. Who we are

Qatar Mobile Market is operated by [[LEGAL_NAME]], Commercial Registration No. [[CR_NUMBER]], [[ADDRESS]] ("we", "us", "our"). We are responsible (as the "controller") for the personal data described in this policy.

You can reach us by email at info@qatarmobilemarket.com, by phone on +974 5513 7412, or on WhatsApp at +974 5513 7412.

2. The personal data we collect

  • Contact details: your name, mobile number, WhatsApp number, email address and delivery address (including zone, street and building number, or a location pin you share with us).
  • Order details: the products you buy, prices, delivery fee, payment method and payment status, order history, returns, exchanges and warranty claims, and the serial number or IMEI of the devices we sell you so we can handle returns and warranty.
  • Payment information: when you pay online, your card details are entered on a secure checkout and processed by the payment provider. We do not see or store your full card number. When you pay cash on delivery, we record that payment was collected.
  • Device and browsing data: your IP address, approximate location based on your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, the pages and products you view, items you add to your cart, the website or ad that brought you to us (including ad click identifiers), and cookie and pixel identifiers. See section 5.
  • WhatsApp chats and other messages: when you contact us on WhatsApp, we receive your WhatsApp number and profile name, and the messages, photos, videos, voice notes and location pins you send us. We also keep emails and notes of phone calls about your orders.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you have agreed to receive offers from us, and when.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data, such as information about your health, religion, ethnic origin, family or marital status, or criminal records. Please do not send us this kind of information. If you send us a photo or screenshot of a device, please make sure it does not show personal messages or notifications.

3. How we collect it

  • Directly from you, when you place an order, create an account, chat with us, call us or email us.
  • Automatically, when you use our website, through cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see section 5).
  • From our service providers, for example payment status from payment providers and delivery updates from delivery partners.

4. Why we use your data and our legal basis

Under the PDPPL, we process personal data either with your consent or where the processing is necessary for a lawful purpose, such as completing your order or meeting a legal obligation.

  • To process and deliver your order, confirm it with you by phone, collect payment, and handle returns, refunds and warranty service. Legal basis: necessary to complete your purchase.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer support. Legal basis: necessary to respond to your request.
  • To keep invoices and business records and to comply with Qatari law and lawful requests from the authorities. Legal basis: legal obligation.
  • To protect our customers and our store, for example by preventing fraud, fake orders and misuse of our website. Legal basis: our lawful purpose of running a safe store.
  • To understand how our website is used and to improve it (analytics cookies). Legal basis: your consent, given through our cookie banner.
  • To measure our ads and show you relevant ads on TikTok, on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and on Google (advertising cookies and pixels). Legal basis: your consent, given through our cookie banner.
  • To send you offers and news by WhatsApp, SMS or email. Legal basis: your prior consent.

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing we carried out before you withdrew it.

5. Cookies, pixels and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Pixels are small pieces of code on our web pages that send information about your visit to the company that provides them. We use the following.

Essential cookies (Shopify)

Our store runs on Shopify. Shopify sets cookies that are needed for the website to work: to keep your cart, run the checkout, keep the website secure, remember your language and remember your cookie choices. These cookies are always on, because the website cannot work properly without them. Shopify also uses cookies to give us statistics about visits to our store. Learn more in Shopify's Cookie Policy and Shopify's Privacy Policy.

Advertising pixels (TikTok and Meta)

We use the TikTok Pixel, and we use or may add the Meta Pixel. When you visit our website, these pixels can send TikTok and Meta information such as:

  • the pages you visit and the actions you take, such as viewing a product, adding it to your cart, starting checkout and completing a purchase (including order value, currency and product IDs);
  • your IP address, browser and device information, and the date and time of your visit;
  • cookie identifiers, and the ad click identifier if you arrived from a TikTok or Meta ad;
  • where we use the "advanced matching" feature, your email address or phone number in hashed (scrambled) form, so the platform can match the visit to an account on its service.

TikTok and Meta use this information to measure how our ads perform, to improve ad delivery and to show you relevant ads. They also use it for their own purposes under their own privacy policies: TikTok Privacy Policy and Meta Privacy Policy.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use or may add Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are visited, how long visits last, and the type of device, browser and approximate location. Google processes this data under its own policies. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

What this means for you

Third parties, including TikTok, Meta and Google, may use cookies, pixels, web beacons and similar technologies to collect or receive information from our website and elsewhere on the internet, and use that information to provide measurement services and to target ads. We do not sell your personal data.

How to control cookies and ads

  • Our cookie banner: when you first visit our website, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences link at the bottom of our website. If you decline, we do not use advertising or analytics cookies and pixels for your visit.
  • Your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, some parts of our website, such as the cart and checkout, may not work.
  • TikTok: in the TikTok app, go to Profile, then Menu, then Settings and privacy, then Ads. There you can manage personalized ads, clear the activity that advertisers have shared with TikTok, and disconnect specific advertisers. Learn more at TikTok: Ads and your data and TikTok Help: Ads and data.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram): in Accounts Center, open Ad preferences to manage your ads, and open Your information and permissions, then Your activity off Meta technologies, to disconnect activity shared by websites. Learn more at Meta Help: Manage your future activity off Meta technologies.
  • Google: manage personalized ads in My Ad Center, and stop Google Analytics from collecting your visits with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Industry opt-out tools: optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu (these cover companies that take part in those programmes).

If you opt out of personalized ads, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.

6. Who we share your data with

We share personal data only as needed for the purposes in this policy:

  • Shopify, which hosts our online store and checkout and stores customer and order data for us.
  • Payment providers, which process online payments using the payment methods shown at checkout.
  • Delivery partners, which receive your name, phone number, delivery address or location pin, order reference and, for cash on delivery, the amount to collect.
  • WhatsApp (provided by Meta), which carries our WhatsApp conversations with you. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to your use of WhatsApp.
  • Advertising and analytics partners (TikTok, Meta and Google), as described in section 5.
  • Other service providers that help us run the business, such as email or SMS services, IT support and our accountants or legal advisers, who receive only what they need.
  • Government or law enforcement authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our customers or the public, for example in a fraud investigation.
  • A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or reorganised, under the same protections as this policy.

Some of these companies, such as Shopify, TikTok, Meta and Google, also use data for their own purposes as explained in their own privacy policies.

7. International transfers

Our service providers, including Shopify, TikTok, Meta and Google, may store and process personal data on servers outside Qatar. We transfer personal data outside Qatar only in line with the PDPPL, and we use providers that protect data with appropriate security measures.

8. How long we keep your data

  • Orders, invoices, payment records and warranty records: for as long as needed to handle returns and warranty, and for the period required by Qatari commercial, accounting and tax laws.
  • WhatsApp chats and support messages: for as long as needed to handle your order, return or warranty claim, after which we delete them periodically.
  • Marketing consent records: until you withdraw your consent, plus the time we need to keep a record of your choice.
  • Cookies: for the lifetime of each cookie, which ranges from the end of your visit to about two years, depending on the cookie and its provider.

When we no longer need your data, we delete it or make it anonymous.

9. How we protect your data

Our website uses HTTPS encryption, and online payments are processed through Shopify's checkout, which meets the PCI DSS card security standard. Only staff who need your data to do their work can access it, and our accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step verification. No system is completely secure, but if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the competent authority as the law requires.

10. Your rights under the PDPPL

Under Qatar's PDPPL, you have the right to:

  • have your personal data protected and processed lawfully;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on your consent;
  • object to processing that is not necessary for the purpose it was collected for, or that is excessive, unfair or unlawful;
  • ask us to delete your personal data when it is no longer needed for its purpose or when there is no longer a lawful reason to keep it;
  • ask us to correct your personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • be told that your personal data is being processed and for what purposes;
  • be told if inaccurate personal data about you has been disclosed;
  • access your personal data and receive a copy of it.

To make a request, contact us by email at info@qatarmobilemarket.com or on WhatsApp at +974 5513 7412 with the subject "Privacy request". We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days. Sometimes the law requires us to keep certain data, such as invoices; if we cannot fully meet your request, we will explain why.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can file a complaint with the competent authority in Qatar, the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA).

11. Marketing messages

We send offers and news by WhatsApp, SMS or email only if you have agreed to receive them, for example by ticking the box at checkout or telling us on WhatsApp. Every marketing message will identify us and tell you how to stop receiving messages. You can opt out at any time by replying "STOP", by using the unsubscribe link in our emails, or by contacting us. We will still send you messages about your orders, such as order confirmation and delivery updates.

12. Children

Our website and services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18, and we do not knowingly share children's data with advertising partners. A purchase for a child should be made by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Links to other websites

Our website and messages may contain links to other websites, such as TikTok, Meta, Google or Apple. We are not responsible for how those websites handle personal data. Please read their privacy policies.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add a new service or tool. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If the changes are significant, we will tell you on our website or by message.
